Архипелаг Фриуль-группа из 4 островов, расположенных у средиземноморского побережья Франции, примерно в 4 км от Марселя.Общая площадь островов архипелага около 200 гектаров.
Первое погружение было на месте крушение марокканского сухогруза Шауэн, перевозящего 640 тонн апельсинов. Судно затонуло 21 февраля 1970 года.
Длина корабля 90 метров, ширина - 13,5 метров. Останки покоятся на глубине от 6 до 36 метров.

L'archipel du Frioul est constitué de quatre îles, l'ensemble atteignant 200 ha, situé environ à 4 km au large de Marseille. Les îles constituent un des 111 quartiers de Marseille : elles sont situées dans le 7e arrondissement.
La première plongée était sur l'epave du Chaouen. Le Chaouen est une épave de cargo échoué en 1970 près de lÎle de Planier. Le 21 février 1970, le Chaouen transporte 640 tonnes d’oranges de Casablanca vers Marseille. La longueur du navire de 90 mètres, largeur - 13,5 mètres. Le profondeur de 6 à 36 mètres.
